Far Infrared Sauna Therapy
A warm invisible wavelength penetrates deep into the skin, muscle tissue, and even the organs to stimulate the lymphatic, immune and cardiovascular systems. Some experience weight loss, detoxification, blood pressure reduction, relaxation, pain relief, cardiovascular health, skin purification/beautification, body flexibility, rejuvenation and blood circulation.
How does it work?
We will warm up the sauna to the temperature of your choice. For a far infrared sauna, most people set the temperature for anywhere between 100-140 degrees.
You will enter the sauna either loosely clothed or with only a towel wrapped around you.
We encourage you to bring water with you. We will provide electrolytes if needed.
We then encourage you to relax, reflect, listen to music or read a book.
Why we recommend:
Sweating is good for you!! It is the body's safe and natural way to heal and stay healthy. Far infrared sauna detoxification happens by heating the body directly, causing a rise in core temperature. This results in a deep, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level, where toxins reside.
Preparing for your session:
Please come hydrated and bring water with you.
If you're going to wear clothes, wear loose-fitting clothes that breathe, like shorts and a tank top or loose cotton t-shirt, or even a bathing suit. The beauty of an infrared sauna is that you can gain the benefits of sweating at much lower temperatures.
After your session, you will want to go home and take a warm shower to wash off the toxins that are now on the outside of your skin. Many find that a cool shower rinse after a warm shower invigorates them and their skin. Your pores are open wide immediately after a sauna and you want to avoid clogging them.
